Our Story
Exterior Diagnostic Services, LLC (EDS) was founded in 2002 by Michael MacDonagh, IV following his retirement from the military after 20 years of service. Starting with just one truck and two men, Mr. MacDonagh IV grew EDS into a thriving waterproofing and restoration business. From the beginning, EDS emphasized quality and setting high standards by utilizing the best materials, highly trained craftsmen, and focusing on delivering the “best of the best” service.
In 2005, Michael MacDonagh, V joined EDS while still attending East Carolina University. He quickly grew to love the industry and the people, working his way up from laborer, to project management, to sales, to now his current role as President. Throughout his career, Michael V has been actively involved in the industry serving as the Past President of the Sealant, Waterproofing, and Restoration Institute (SWRI) and earning the 2023 SWR Institute NextGen Leaders Under 40’ Award.
