Located in Research Triangle Park, the One Park Drive office building sits right off of Highway 40. It houses over 60,000 square feet of office space for companies to lease. The brick building has a unique L-shaped design and offers Class A office space with a two-story atrium lobby.
EDS was contacted by Avison Young to complete a building reseal due to failed sealants. New polyurethane sealants were installed at metal-to-masonry joints and masonry-to-masonry joints. At all window perimeters, the existing sealant was trimmed, cleaned and replaced with new silicone sealant.
Access of the building proved difficult due to it’s unique shape and surrounding hardscape. Our operations team utilized two swing stages, an 80-foot man lift, and rope descent systems to access every elevation of the building. All work areas were closely monitored for pedestrian safety during the restoration as the building was 100% occupied during this time.
In partnership with Avison Young, the One Park Drive office building was quickly restored without disturbing tenants. The project was completed without any safety violations, thanks to EDS’ commitment to safety.
