Horizon I and Horizon II are one-story office buildings, offering over 40,000 square feet of space, collectively. Located on Six Forks Road in Raleigh, North Carolina, these buildings offer convenient office space for many professional tenants.
Property Management company Avison Young consulted with Philips Architecture to solve their water-intrusion issues with both buildings. EDS became a part of the team in the spring of 2015 to begin the initial investigation, assisting Phillips Architecture with the development of the scope of work. EDS was awarded the full-scale project in the summer of 2016.
EDS used scaffolding to access the white masonry and install the thru-wall flashing. The thru-wall flashing was challenging due to the multiple peaks and turns, requiring our brick masons to cut multiple adjacent angles. EDS also installed new sealants, to include servicing the soffit repairs.
Within the 60-day project, EDS completed the project on both buildings and refurbished the water damaged ceiling to look fresh and new. EDS finished the project on-schedule and without any safety conflicts or tenant disruption.
“While on-site, the crew was professional, diligent, neat and organized. The frequent updates from the Operations Department helped us notify the tenants of where the crew would be working during that week. It is unusual to not have any tenant complaints during such a major project and we didn’t!”
