As we all know, our planet is finally receiving the attention it needs. EDS continuously looks for ways to protect our environment. Unfortunately, there are few professional grade waterproofing materials or products that can be considered green while maintaining the effectiveness and durability required to offset the cost of restorations. The VOC levels (Volatile Organic Compounds) in some products we use have indeed decreased making the product less harmful to the environment. It isn't a cure-all, but every little bit helps.

It is the responsibility of every person and business to investigate how we can take better care of our environment. By e-mailing proposals and other correspondence to our clientele, EDS has significantly reduced paper consumption. With scanners and other electronic technology, we are also capable of executing even the largest of legal contracts this way. This reduction in paper usage and fuel consumption ultimately saves precious trees and energy.

We are investigating payment by credit cards for our customers' convenience. Currently EDS clients can submit payments via check or ACH transfer. Credit card payment will further reduce administrative costs and paper consumption for both parties.

If your e-mail information is not on file, we will be contacting you within the next month. We want to offer you the option to participate in our paperless initiative. In the meantime, if you want to start corresponding with us via e-mail, simply visit our website and complete the General Inquiries form. Enter "paperless initiative" in the comments field and click submit.

With all the push for buildings to go green, there should be greater incentives for suppliers and manufacturers to produce more environmentally-friendly products. Research and development of such products is definitely underway, but it will be some time before they are widely available. Rest assured that EDS will continue monitoring the development of green products and new processes and will share these developments with you. We strive to provide you with the latest tested technology to maintain your building's excellent condition.
